The wait is officially over as Huawei has showcased its first wide-screen smartphone – the Pura X View. The mid-sized device with an extremely broad display claims to deliver a formidable experience, perfect for those who love watching movies or playing games! While we have been expecting to see Huawei’s wide non-foldable phone next month, the company has surprised everyone by introducing the Pura X View at the HarmonyOS Smart Mobility Enjoy G9 electric vehicle launch event.

Display – Huawei Pura X View equips the industry’s first 16:9.5 wide screen with uniform, slimmer bezels surrounding the display measuring 1.05mm. The screen-to-body ratio has hit 96.1%, while the overall screen size is 6.39 inches.

Richard Yu, the Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business, mentioned that the device has a display area of 114.27 cm². Even though the screen is small, it can offer a greater display content area compared to many 6.9-inch regular phone models.

Pura X View sports an OLED screen panel with 2232 x 1320 pixel resolution, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 1000000:1 contrast ratio, and 6500-nit peak brightness.

Design – Huawei has maintained the racetrack-like camera bar on the back of the Pura X View wide phone, followed by a striped texture throughout the panel. It comes in four premium color schemes:
