Samsung Officially Launches Galaxy Tab S12 Series and SmartTag 3 in South Korea

Samsung has officially rolled out three brand-new products in its home market of South Korea: the Galaxy SmartTag 3, the Galaxy Tab S12+, and the high-end Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. Following their recent announcement, these highly anticipated devices are now available for purchase locally, with global rollouts expected to follow shortly.

Here is a comprehensive overview of the technical specifications and official pricing details for each newly released hardware item.

Galaxy SmartTag 3 Specifications and Pricing

The Galaxy SmartTag 3 is priced at KRW 44,000 (~$33) in South Korea and comes in Classic Black and White color options. Samsung is also providing a value 4-pack bundle for KRW 149,600 (~$111), delivering a 15% savings compared to buying four standalone trackers.

Furthermore, customers purchasing the tracker alongside an eligible device—such as a Galaxy S26 series smartphone (including the S26 FE), Galaxy Z Flip 8, or Galaxy Z Fold 8—before October 31 will qualify for a 30% discount.

As Samsung's upgraded object-tracking beacon, the SmartTag 3 boasts a sleeker, lighter physical footprint and extended battery longevity. Notably, Samsung has removed the integrated lanyard loop from this iteration, requiring users to rely on an accessory case for attachment.

Key internal features include Bluetooth 6.0, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) connectivity, and cross-platform compatibility across both Android and iOS devices. Driven by a standard CR2032 3V coin cell battery, it yields up to 790 days of operational endurance. The enhanced Compass View tool assists users via precise directional tracking at ranges up to 60 meters.

Samsung offers an array of official accessories for the item. The standard Silicone Case is available in Black, Blue, Lavender, Mint, and White. Additional choices include a Loop Case tailored for luggage, a Pet Name Tag Case for collars and harnesses, and a dedicated Bicycle Frame Mount Case.
